Ron said something really impact-ful during his sermon last week. “We must follow Christ, even if we have to follow Him alone.”“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
Ron’s sermon this week used the illustration that mother giraffes will push down their children, until they learn to run away. Apparently, it is because that is the only defense they have against predators. Which is surprising … I thought it would be their ability to always evade a head-lock. Hmm. You learn something new every day.
